The wrapped crossover earrings have a simple geometric design with intricate hand formed decoration. The earrings have a small and lightweight design that makes them perfect for everyday wear. Each earring is carefully wrapped by hand, with the wire tightly bound to create the crossover pattern.

Wrapping wire is often used as an additional part in a piece of jewellery, to hold a stone in place or create a pattern. I enjoy using wrapping wire to make it the main focus in the piece, so I design my jewellery around the technique. I wanted to push myself to make stud earrings to match my other wire wrapped pieces. I enjoyed the challenge of creating a different design that would fit nicely into the small ring. Overlapping the wire creates a delicate detail that makes the metal look similar to a textile.
